In July, It Must Be A Golf Tournament

The heat was opressive but the lure of the game

made that count for naught. The Marian Council held its 2010 golf outing July 27 at Dwan Golf Club. Golfers arrived at noon with their bags, balls, shoes and clubs to contend against each other ...and their own ability.

After due effort on the greens and fairways, the golfers retired to Marian Hall for a meal of turkey, dressing and gravy, mashed potatoes and sweet corn.

Prizes were awarded to holders of the winning tickets who pocketed visors, caps, sleeves of balls and tickets to a Saints-Salt Dogs game in August. 

In 2nd place was the foursome headed by Fr. Bernie at 6 under.  1st Place went to the foursome headed by Jeff Johnson and Dan Block at 8 under, pictured above.
